General information about advertisement cartridges: Assumption is that these were made for advertising the games in store (window) or game fairs. Fairly few cartridges are known to exist, so far from three different games and only very few pieces of each. Each of them has different style of representation and only one has playable content. Metal Gear 2 has an game demo similar to release version and information about release date and pricing, this demo just loops around without reaction to keyboard or joystick. Penant Race 2 is similar except no pricing or release date information. Quarth is the only which has playable content, but gameplay ends to information of the release date and pricing. These advertisement versions are completely different from Sample versions which usually contain same ROM image as the game to be released for sales. The samples were assumably made for Magazine reviews and/or last stage testing. Disk games: (RA = ???)
